The Idea
The marquise cut was born from a king's obsession with a smile — an elongated, pointed ellipse that makes the finger look longer and the stone appear larger than its carat weight suggests. Aeternum takes that inherited romance and strips it of sentimentality, leaving only geometry and light.
What makes it unique
The marquise's pointed tips are the most vulnerable part of any diamond shape — they chip if the setting does not hold them correctly. Every Aeternum piece uses V-prong setting at the tips, hand-fitted and checked under 20× magnification before leaving the atelier. The rest of the stone breathes in an open claw that maximises light return.
